Last night was a blast... here's some highlights:
-Andrea's chili for dinner, yummy! Check out this very cute pregnant lady (now 2 days overdue)
-Applesaucing with a crowd, it started out with the 5 of us, and then as friends arrived to watch the debate, they jumped in to help- making it even more fun, and maxing out the kitchen capacity
-Kevin and Lindsey operating the victorio strainer-- out of control!!
-Jonathan on the victorio strainer- very appley, everywhere :) He was quite efficient both plunging and cranking simultaneously and to the beat.

-Wine, lots of wine -- to accompany the applesaucing, and more importantly, to make the presidential debate watchable
-I spent most of the debate in the kitchen still applesaucing-- that was a good move, I knew I wouldn't be able to sit through another debate. I was glad to hear McCain take a hard stand on abortion, and actually address the issue. Mostly, I was glad to have good company and something else to do during the debate :)
-the canning stove -- it is pretty awesome having the canners downstairs while the apple-cooking takes up the stove in the kitchen.

-Suzie, always in the middle of the action. At one point there were 9 people in my kitchen, most working on various applesauce stages, a few just drinking wine and looking for a spot to stand, and there is Suzie, smack dab in the middle of the kitchen floor, excited to be part of the action and oblivious to being in everyone's way. I love that dog.
