Holy Week and randomness

Holy Week is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. I love the richness, the meaning, the grace of the Triduum and all that we celebrate during those holy days. I have to admit to starting it rather weakly- having missed morning Mass every day this week... having not used lent as fully as I meant to... and yet, that's part of the beauty of it. God doesn't wait for us to get our act together to save us, rather "it was while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Thank you Jesus!

Lots of my blogging friends have cool names for their blogs, "Love Life", "Mitzel Musings", "The Good Life", Always in Motion" and many others... mine is boring. Maybe I should call this blog "Stream of consciousness" or "Stream of unconsciousness" (as the case may be) or maybe "Seasonal Commentary" since I am usually inspired to write a whole lot more during the winter, when its dreary outside, and then it falls off dramatically during the other seasons when I'm busy outside... hmmm...

Tonight I'm giving a haircut or two, and working on stations of the cross costumes (washing, mending, sewing)... why is it that girls have no problems dressing themselves in sheets, and guys can't do a thing with the sheets on their own? Part of the goal is to make the guys some more user-friendly costumes so they don't need quite so much help getting into their costumes for the living stations of the cross. :)

This weekend I'm planning to start my seeds for the garden indoors, I can't wait. Although I'm going to have to do some serious rearranging of all the tulip pots and regular house plants that occupy the front windowsill and dog-cage-turned-plant-stand. Not that I'm admitting to having a lot of plants... but seriously I'm not sure where to put them all to make room for the seedlings.

Yeah, you don't have enough plants. I think I saw a bare spot somewhere in your house, but I can't remember where it was... ;) You're awesome! Holy Week is exciting, I agree.
